Got so much done today…

Here is my first attempt at pastry

image

It turned out so much better than I anticipated, I had some left over stew so made some peppered steak pies, after the yummy one i had at the football and they tuned out not too shabby.

Then I made some seedy bread, sounds a bit odd but was lovely.

Then after I made all that Bens parents turned up to chop fire wood, while they did that I painted all the outside walls with masonry paint and it looks Megatron

Excuse all the weeds but I’m not the best gardener.

Nibbler was busy helping Bens parents chop the wood, mostly by standing under the saw and eating the sawdust. Finally ben came home from work and we went out for belated birthday dinner to an Australian restaurant. We ordered VB lager but they were out so we had this instead which was really nice

image

We shared a starter of crocodile and prawns which was really good then I ordered sirloin steak, fries and peppercorn sauce. Ben, bring his birthday dinner ordered rump, ribs and rooster… It was massive

And he finished it….. I was quite impressed. Anyway my slimming world day has not been too good but I have done na absolute shit tonne of physical exercise today so I’m not too worried. X

Steak was so yummy. Chips were baked so not too bad, just peppercorn sauce that was really naughty. Bens dinner probably had a millions syns lol.
I did ur trick of cold water on my hands before I handled the pastry and it worked really well.
Whats ur favourite slimming world dinner x

A salmon fillet marinated in 1tbsp sweet chilli sauce (1.5 syns) and soy sauce served with quinoa with chopped spring onions. Yum! Probably having that for dinner tomorrow. That or diet coke chicken and rice – very yummy too! What about you? x

That’s sounds really good, we don’t eat a lot of fish but we will have to try that one. I think my favourite is mince beef hash with potatoes, it’s all free but I add a sprinkling of reduced fat cheddar as my hexA. I love the bachelor’s pasta and sauce for a quick dinner with chicken and bacon and runner beans mixed in. I tried the frozen Miller light yoghurt thing the other day but it went completely solid and I couldn’t get any on the spoon 🙂

Definitely try the salmon – worth a try once! Ooh the mince beef hash sounds good 🙂 I’m going to try a cheese and potato pie soon – sounds like good comfort food for winter. Oh dear, that happened with my frozen yoghurt too – I think you need to stir every 20 mins or so while it’s freezing, or bung it in a ice cream machine 🙂 x
