February Favourite Things

So Janaury dragged like nobodies business but February flew past before we could so much as fart.

I just filmed my Favourites video and thought I would write a post about the things I’m loving too, as I know not everyone wants to watch me chatting and burping all over the shop.

So i’ll start the same as the video as my first thing is actually a tv show, I have recently discovered The Biggest Loser and I love it so much. I find watching the people transform so inspirational, I’m also in love with Bob, Gillian and Dolvett. Watching it spurs me on with my weight loss journey and also makes me wish I had money for a gym membership and a personal trainer, which sadly i do not….yet, maybe one day.

Next up is bath bombs, recently I have used some from Lush (twilight and madam president) and also a Hex Bomb called Nether which made the bath black and glittery and beautiful. If anyone has any recommendations for bath bombs let me know as I love to try out new ones.

Now the next item is something I was given for free to review by a website called Bzzagent, I signed up around 5-6 months ago. Its free to do and you fill in surveys and then you may get picked to test products. This is the first thing I have ever tested for BzzAgent and I feel super lucky as it is a perfume, its Gucci Bloom Acqua Di Fiori. It is the most beautiful bottle and packaging ever.

It smells very floral but it is super delicate and not overpowering at all which I really like, quite a lot of perfumes give me headaches but this is light enough that it doesnt at all.

If you want to join BzzAgent for yourself you can here- https://www.bzzagent.co.uk

I don’t know about you but as a mum of two toddlers I am always worrying about germs on hands leading to sickness bugs, its a fear of mine. The girls vomiting makes me so anxious so I do all I can do prevent it as much as possible and my next item helps ease my mind a little,  its the Merci handy hand sanitizer. I have so many of these from various subscription boxes over the last year and I love them, they smell lush and help to clean little hands without fuss. The one I am currently using is New Wave and it smells really fresh. The kids think its super grown up to use this so i get it on them whenever they touch something gross, which is quite often as toddlers are mingers.

Moving onto skincare, I know one of these was featured in last months faves but i am still loving the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Serum, along with this I am using the dragons blood plumping serum. I use the dragons blood in the morning before my moisturiser and the glycolic fix in the evening before my moisturiser. I really feel like they are helping my skin along with my tarte skincare. * – here

My final non makeup item is the Loreal Magic Retouch Root Spray. I am 35 this year and the grey hair is starting to show its ugly silver head so this is amazing for me, its so easy to use, lasts really well and doesnt leave your hair feeling like its full of products (which is a pet hate of mine). IMG_1521

this literally gets sprayed into your roots, left for a minute and then its done, you can brush your hair, style it, run your fingers through it without any colour transfer!! its MAGIC.

Finally, into the makeup section, I’m starting off with two palettes, one for eyes and one for face, although I use the face palette for eyes too (i love a multi use product). The eyeshadow palette is the morphe 25a which is full of beautiful warm tones and stunning shimmer/metallic shades, i use this most days for the transition colours. Morphe eyeshadows are some of my all time faves as they are affordable(£19) and blend like a dream , you can buy this palette from beauty bay – buy here

the face palette is from Tam beauty by Makeup revolution, the contour colours also make awesome eyeshadow transitions and the blush and highlights can be used all over the lid for a pop of shimmer. This palette is an absolute bargain at just £5.40 in the sale *- here

I couldnt possibly do a favourites video or blog post without a highlight of some description and this months star is this amazing affordable one, again from Tam beauty.

it is by I heart makeup and it is the Goddess Of Faith highlighter which has the most beautiful packaging ever, and gives a really subtle glow that can be built up to blind all the haters who can just jog the fuck on. if you want to try it for yourself you can get it here for £4!!!*  here

Back to base makeup, I will quickly touch on a concealer that I have used everyday since purchasing it, the Rimmel Match Perfection (010 Ivory) it is lightweight, doesnt crease or dry out my old lady undereye area. i was a little unsure about the applicator to start with (its a brush) but its grown on me. Its affordable and hides the tired really well*. here IMG_1517

My final items are all lip products, the first is a Loreal Matte Lip Paint in the colour Dead Lips which I know wont be for everyone but i love it, it is a mega nude. The other products are from Phase Zero which is the new makeup brand that Love Me Beauty have launched, there has been a lot of talk online that the formula and colours are the same as a very highend big brand and i can vouch that they feel amazing on the lips and last beautifully, they are kiss proof and non drying, also the lip topper in prosecco kiss looks stunning if used on the eyes as a lid colour. (there I go being all practical using this for multiple purposes).

So there you have it, my favourite things for the month of February 2018, sorry this was such a long one, if you have got this far please let me know in the comments below what you have been loving.

thanks for reading x
